Default Murphy messed with my sprinklers!

I was wondering why my front sprinklers were leaking water even when they weren't on. My gardener turned off the water supply to them and they are still leaking. I thought it was just a valve or something, but I guess not. He says they have to be replaced. That sucks!

Normally I wouldn't care about the front sprinklers and I'd water the lawn with a hose attachment, but these are leaking constantly so they are wasting water and, well, it just looks stupid to have all this water running down my driveway and sidewalk.

He's going to give me an estimate, so I'll keep you all posted. Too bad - I was doing so well with my debt reduction!! Still, I have a $1000 EF and I usually get a sizeable tax refund, so it would have to be major repairs before I would have to borrow to fix it. The funny thing is - it makes me cranky to have to deal with this, but really I'm not that concerned. Thank God for my TMMO.

Sorry you are having trouble with your sprinklers, but I am glad that you will be able to take care of the problem without going into debt to do so. Good for you!

Well, hopefully it won't take too big of a bite out your e-fund.

Never fails - save a bit of money & Murphy comes to town.

I don't know if you have done anything already with this, but you may want to see if there is another shutoff valve/make sure that one is shut off. I am wondering if your gardener shut off the wrong valve or if your shutoff valve is bad. Replacing the shutoff valve would be cheaper than replacing the sprinkler heads.

There has to be a way to shut off the water. If you think about it, when they install the sprinkler system/ do maintenance on it, they will have to shut off the water to it. If I were you I would take a look for myself and see if you can shut off the water.

    Good luck either way.

I've tried shutting the water off and for whatever reason it is still leaking. I thought it must be a valve too. I may have somebody else take a look at it, but just haven't had time to deal with it. Thanks!
