Default What is your favorite book on frugal living/budgeting?

I know there have been many discussions on frugal/budget books....but I am always looking for new reads and new ideas.

I don't care for Mary Hunt or Suze Oreman . I like Dave Ramsey, Larry Burkett.

My personal favorite though, is "Living More With Less" by Doris Jansen Longacre.

My favorite book on frugal living is Carla Emery's Old Fashioned Recipe book. Then for finianices I like David Ramsey.
But Carla's book is best because its how to live with nothing and take what you have and make the most. I've read and reread her book and always come away with something new.

Jerrold Mundis (Debtor's Anonymous) "How to get out of debt, stay out of debt, and live prosperously"1988
    11% gross to retirement
10% takehome to tithe and offerings
emergency fund maintained at 3000(works for me)
    credit card debt 7500
    mortgage free
freedom accounts/sinking funds that ebb and flow
    then live on the rest!

i am trying something new. LDS church advises savings or debt repayment should be the same as the tithe. 10% each.

I'm fairly new to frugal living, having started my TMMO in December, but I love TMMO. My copy is only a few months old and is already totally beat up because I have read it several times cover to cover.

I look forward to reading more - there are some great suggestions here.

Hope you don't mind if I answer. Sara's syndicated column replaced hers.

I think Mary is getting pretty wierd, here's an example:

I don't think you'll see a forum here with her name on it & it's about time she retired. jmho

Thanks for the answer Darlene....I too, was curious. I've never been a Mary Hunt fan myself, but to each his own.
