Any other last minute folks on their tax prep?
I'm off to see the accountant on Monday...I don't usually wait this late and am a teensy bit stressed over it. I've decided that tomorrow I'll finish up my search of little things and have all things bundled up and ready to go on Monday. Anyone else a last minute Lisa on this ?

Yes, I am literally a "Last Minute Lisa!"
Actually, I've done the initial work in TurboTax and know we will owe so there is no incentive to get them done ahead of time. I hope to get them finalized soon, but won't pay until the last minute.

Like Lisa, I already know what we owe, so I'm waiting 'til April 15th to pay.

We are last minute...sort of. Taxes are prepared, but they aren't sent...we always owe money so we wait until the 15th to send them out.

My sister preps my taxes for me and I am actually do for a refund, however, I just got them back from her yesterday and now I have to make a copy of something at work tomorrow and then attach the W-2s along with a copy of something and then I hope to send it all in on April 1st. It's kind of a bummer that it took so long, because I will be getting a little of my money back and I probably won't get that until around the same time we get our stimulus checks in the mail. Oh, well..... I'm glad there's a few other people who are as late out there as I am. This is one of the latests that I have ever been in filing.

I guess I'm a "last minute Sara" - like many others, we owe. I had TaxCut all complete the middle of Feb, but am in no hurry to mail a big check into the IRS. Normally I'd wait until the very last minute, but I'll probably get them done this weekend since we have the $$ now.

Bring on them baby steps...

Step 2: waiting on amount, hubby had followup colonoscopy, I had visit to ER with followup procedure
Step 3: to follow, won't know aim until things settle
Step 4: to follow, currently at 6%
Step 5: grown child
Step 6: huge mortgage ANNIHILATED!!
Step 7: ahhhh....

Last minute here too. I am sure we owe. But it might be a wash with the stimulus check.

I always seem to be "last minute". I vow each year to get them done sooner but never seem to do it. My appt. is for April 5th at 1:00.

We finally got ours finished and sent in yesterday. I put it off and put it off because I just knew we'd have to pay in. When I lost my job in 2007 we were having trouble paying bills especially when unemployment ran out and I had to cash in what retirement money I had from that job. The penalty about killed us.
We bought our home and five acres in Dec of 2005 and have tried to get things going to work for us. This year was the first year we decided to use it on our taxes. Guess it helped, cause even though we took a lose, it prevented us from having to pay in. On the downside, what refund we will get back, just covers the cost of getting the taxes done! Oh well.... at least we don't have to pay in.

I'm "do-it-later Di", instead of late Lisa. Actually this is the latest I've ever done taxes, and I find it surprising because now I am retired and have time to work on it!
And I did begin working on it the momenth the paperwork started coming in. But we ran into a snag and the IRS talking heads were no help, so I had to get an accountant. And now we are waiting on her to finish up.
I'm terrified by my taxes this year. We usually have to pay some, but this year, I think it may be a bunch. I'm afraid I'll have to dip into savings to pay the bill.Spiritual:
