    Cool ? on Stimulus check

Someone told me that even if you are married, you will get each check separately. I just figured that it would be sent the way you do your taxes, since my husband is the "head of the household" all of the money would be sent as one check. It is my husband, me, my 2 daughters, although one is 18 and the other 16, I believe we will only get for the 16 yro.

I know it depends on the last 2 numbers of your social securtiy #., when you will be receiving it, but does anyone know how they will be dispersed?????

    Thank you,
    Sheri

If you filed married jointly (both of your incomes on one tax form) you get the one check - same as your tax return would have come. If you had direct deposit, it will be direct deposited to the same bank your tax return was deposited to. The stimulus check will be mailed according to the last two digits of the SS# of whoever filed as head of household on the joint taxes.

If you filed separately, you'll each get your own check. The stimulus checks will then be sent out according to each of your ss #'s last two digits, so you could get them at two totally different times. But only if you filed your taxes separately.

Oh and here is the payment schedule. Luckily dh files as HOH here, so we'll be getting ours in the first batch. If I was HOH we'd be one of the last lol.

Thanks for the link. It is nice that the direct deposit is all within May. It will come in handy for us this coming month.

What if we used a tax service and got a RAL? I hope they MAIL the check instead of depositing it into the H&R Block deposit account, yikes! Since we did the RAL we got our check within 8 business days but when filing our taxes H&R Block puts in their bank account info because they are basically "fronting" us the money????
