Default How to plug a leak???

I just sat down and wrote everything out for dh. with an estimated grocery and gas budget, utilities credit payments but not spending money, we should have nearly $1700 at the end of the month!!!

I have been paying extra, but not that much!!! I have to figure out a better way to track this. I know there have been $1300 bill, $600 bill, birthdays, easter, yadda yadda the last few months, so that really takes a bite. But if we can have a $1500 snowball!! We'll make some WICKED WICKED progress!

I think we have to start working on a cash only basis. No cc(been pretty good), no credit line, no debit card. No paypal..lol.

I think I'm going to set up a few jars for spending. My grocery budget, gas budget. And misc. I should be able to easily get $1000 if not $1500 into the bills and GET RID OF THEM!!
    Any ideas???

Wow thats great!!! On the SLICE network (in Canada) there's a money show where this lady comes by and makes you live out of a jar. If the $$'s gone, then its gone. I wish I could remember the name, she gives wicked suggestions and does not beat around the bush! I like the stop spending, pick up a 2nd job and cash only ideas she has suggested to certain couples.

PS The only way to plug a leak is to use a tampax tampon dontchas know? If you've ever seen that commercial, you'll know how stupid it was and what I am talking about hahahhaa.

    Until Debt do us part.

It's trying to get dh on board with that..lol. I'll do it for me. If we go over in one area, then I guess we borrow from another.

We don't need another job, we have plenty left over, thank goodness! It's all the nickel and dime stuff that is getting us!

Cash only and tracking everything you buy may help. I know this month is the first month I have been writing down every single penny that goes out, which will help me when it comes to next month's budget. $1700 is a lot of money, to not know where it is going.
