I'm thrilled....look what $47.80 can buy!
I was off of work today for a doctor's appointment and decided to make the most of my time off. I visited two stores, Aldi's and my grocery outlet. I usually don't have the time to hit both, so I was happy that I had time to really look at everything. Look at all of the things I was able to get for less than $50!! (I spent $47.80 total) The stores don't accept coupons, so these were straight prices...
Ready????
18 oz. corn flakes (generic)
12 oz generic Rice Krispies
(2) boxes South Beach Living cereal
12 bottles of flavored water
10 bottles water
6 pack fruit punch
1 bag generic tortilla chips
1 bag Gardetto's snack mix
1 bottle stir fry sauce
20 oz sugar
(2) 4-pks T.P.
64 oz jar jalepenos
2 cans corn
1 can cranberry sauce
2 cans carrots
2 cans tomato soup
2 cans tomato sauce
4 cans tuna in water (Chicken of Sea/Bumble Bee)
64 oz apple juice
1 can black olives
1 box Quaker granola bars
1 box Lipton onion soup
1 jar Spice Island curry powder
1 jar McCormick orange peel
1 box Nabisco individual snacks (12)
3 avocados
1 loaf bread
1/2 lb. swiss cheese
8 oz gouda cheese
.66 lb roast beef
1 package romain hearts lettuce
1 bag fresh spinach
1.2 lb ground turkey (Fit & Active brand)
3 broccoli crowns
1 tube biscuits

Whew! I am thrilled. I already have chicken cooked and sliced and taco meat cooked for tacos/salads. The only thing I should need for the week is milk! There are four of us, with a foster child coming for the weekend. Shopping is done and money was saved! Yippee!!!

Great deals! And you got a lot of real food there too, which is even better.
