I know, I know... another Walmart thread
I had an unexpected surprise at Walmart last night. Apparently, sometime recently, this store has started accepting only one coupon of a kind. I don't use a lot of like coupons, but often have two, maybe three. Kroger will only double/triple one now, but at least they accept multiples. I don't know if this is company wide, or just this store.
I was aggravated, but it's their right to set their policies. I wouldn't have minded quite so much, except these were both expiring in a few days and they were for things I use. Oh well. That's the way the cookie crumbles. I only bought as much I could use the single coupon for, so at least I had the satisfaction of knowing they had to reshelve the rest of it.Donna

Walmart blows like the wind. There is a different policy at every store, and I find it too aggravating to shop there. I save more more at the grocery store with my coupons, and the cashiers are nicer!

I hate going to Walmart, but there is really nowhere else to shop in my area. We have one grocery store, Walmart, Target, CVS, and Walgreens. I wish they would bring another grocery to our area to give competition to the other grocery store.

This was a Walmart that is usually pretty good. It's miles out of my way, but I really dislike the one across the street from me. I needed some yarn to finish a project that I knew I could only get there, so I went last night after work. I don't go to Walmart much, just because I shop as little as possible anywhere now, but since these were .55 and 1.00 coupons that Kroger doesn't double, I decided use them there. Some bread and Martha White muffin mixes.

I don't expect much from WalMart and therefore I am never disappointed.

Thats exactly why i stopped shopping at walmart too...
That and everytime i went to Walmart I would leave angry about something. And I desided life is too short sooo if i am mad all time there stop going! I now have to go to three stores.. but i am happy ... and I actually get better deals going to hyvee....walgreens and shopko. Go figure and my husbands opinion is he would rather spend three times the money to not have to go to walmart... (long story but he is poed at walmart)

That's the right attitude, imo. I think Penn and Teller nailed reason behind a lot of the angst at Wal-Mart on larger issues, but on the actual shopping experience, you just have to know what you are getting when you go into it. I love shopping there, but I expect a lot less in terms of customer service and quality than if I were going somewhere nicer.
It's like going to McDonald's and being annoyed when you are being waited on by a disinterested 17-y/o. What else are you expecting for a $1 doublecheeseburger?

I would just put my stuff in the car and go back in again at a different register. Or I would bring someone with me and have them wait in line with the duplicate item and coupon. What a foolish policy.

I could have gone another day had it been that important, but it was after midnight and I just wanted to get home.

I don't buy much of anything with a coupon at WM anymore and if they did this at the one I shop at, I'd kindly pull out my copy of WM corporate policy on coupons and show them their own rules. It states nothing about only one like coupon, it does say "use of 40 or more coupons per transaction will require approval by Customer Service Manager" which will never happen since I'm lucky to find 1/2 of what I'm looking for there anymore.

I personally really like Walmart. Guess I am just a lucky one who has never had problems there.

I did notice that there are different policies at the different stores. I hate that.

I do all of my coupon shopping at Kroger + another couple of local stores that double them........also Rite Aid, and Walgreens. Of course, I use the coupons WITH the sales where I can.
