I buy dollar store batteries for my DD's "noise toys". Gee, it is too bad they don't last that long. LOL

I'd like to add toys. Most are from China and contain who knows what.

I would add condoms and pregnancy tests to the list--things I HAVE seen at the local dollar store! EEEEK!

I also agree. I'm very picky about what I will purchase
in any dollar store. My favorites are nail polish and the
gift bags. Everything else is suspect." May we never let the things we can’t have or don’t have or shouldn’t have spoil our enjoyment of the things we do have and can have. As we value our happiness, let us not forget it. One of the greatest lessons in life is learning to be happy without the things we cannot or should not have."

I agree with that list. My most reg. purchases from the dollar stores are greeting cards, gift bags, picture frames, off brand oxi clean and things like brooms and other cleaning tools.

I agree, except for toothpaste. My Dollar Tree sells Crest and Colgate so these are not problematic right?

That's scary. I hadn't thought about most of them. Good idea on the dollar store batteries for the irritating toys though.
:
I was on a pregnancy and parenting board not too long ago. There was a woman who posted in the trying to conceive area that was using dollar store pregnancy tests. She kept getting inconclusive tests, what they called "evap" lines and was testing a few times a month, before her period was due like you would with the First Response tests from the store and then she would get her period. I wasn't there very long, but every month she would go through the same thing. Her friends tried to tell her if she would just wait until after her period was due, she wouldn't have to go through so much heartache. I felt so bad for her.
So yea, that and condoms. I wouldn't trust the condoms a bit.
NancyI may not be where I need to be, but thank God I'm not where I used to be.

I agree with that list completely. I like to buy: greeting cards, gardening items like dirt and outside decor, Pure & Natural Soap, wrapping paper, tissue paper, and picture frames.

Even if the toothpaste is Colgate, if it's made in another country it probably doesn't have fluoride.
