Default Best Price on Cream of Wheat or Generic Farina

My neighbor loves Cream of Wheat but the price is so expensive (3.99 a box)
She used to buy just plain Farina at Dollar General but they stopped carrying it. And even dollar tree had it for a while.

Does anyone have a source on cheap Cream of Wheat or generic Farina?
    I checked but Aldi's doesn't carry it.

    Thanks!

Well I went and looked at the Amazon site under groceries and found it but it seemed like it was 3.55 per box for the multi packs and you needed to buy a case of them.......

Have you tried contacting the companies directly?? I went to their websites and they had 800 numbers to call. You could also ask them for coupons and tell them how much you like their products but that you can't purchase as often as you would like because of the price increase in your area.

I don't know what the prices are like in your area but I can tell you that I buy my hubbies favorite oatmeal at "Target" it is alot less there than the regular grocery store, (unless they have a good sale).

    Good Luck,

You really just have to watch. My youngest son loves the stuff. There was a coupon for 1.00 a box last fall. I bought MANY multiples and waited for a sale. A store that dbls about 30 miles away had the small boxes for 1.99. They dbl to 1.00....so I got them for free. I had about 30 coupons. We are down to about 18 boxes left.
Other than that, I just wait for a decent sale, and try to get them for under 2.00. Get lots of coupons when they come out. Also, Aldis DOES carry a malt o meal hot cereal. He will eat that too, and there's is of course cheaper.

    Default We buy Farina...

same stuff, lots cheaper! It doesn't come with all the fancy flavors and such, but that's okay, we add whatever we want to it. Farina is sold as "baby food" and has a picture if a young boy on the box.

Neither DH nor I care. I'm not trying to impress anyone with my food choices, just stay healthy and spend as little as I can doing so!

I just found bulkfoods.com, I'd take a look there. We're on our last box, so I need to find a source for this too!

Have you got a local co-op? Some of them will order bulk food for their members.

Bob's Red Mill has lots of great whole grain products. I did a quick search and found Farina. Not sure what it costs to ship, I work just a few blocks form the main mill and store and so I just pick up what I need. Some grocery stores carry this brand, but of course it costs more than buying direct.
