Help! My front loading washer won't drain :(
At the end of the final spin cycle, there's still water left in the drum that comes pouring out when I open the door.
I looked up the owner's manual online and I tried cleaning drain pump, but it's empty. I checked the drain hose and there aren't any kinks.
I'd prefer to not go through the hassle of buying a washing machine over here (Denmark) and would like to fix this one on my own if at all possible.
Does anyone have any suggestions for why it might not be draining and how to fix it?

here is what we tried first when ours did that.
First, just hit drain or rinse and drain with an empty load.
This some time happens to us when it is extra moist in the air or when the towels hold water but something prevented it ,like a waterproof mattress pad prevented it from draining.
If that doesn't work.
One time it didn't with us it was our house hold plumbing the water line that hooked up to the washer was leaking and so it leaked into the washer.
Taking that apart and putting it together helped. Might have added a new seal. Not sure about that.
hope it is the first thing for you
hope that it is a easy fix for you.

When this happened to my mother's machine, I think there was a coin in the hose. I hope you can fix it!

Mine will do that if I put more than a TBS of detergent. I have started using a measuring spoon. I set it to drain and then set it to spin and then set it to quick wash if there was soap left in the water. Uuugghh! Takes so long to finish a load.

No advice, but that is exactly why my dh will not let me get a front loading washing machine. A long time ago, he used to be a plumber.
Hope things work out soon. It is a bummer to have your washer not working.Hello from Sunny Central Florida

I checked the hose, seemed clear, but I ran an empty load for the heck of it and now it seems to be draining ok.
I'm probably on borrowed time, but I'm grateful to not have to deal with this over xmas.
I'll accept this little extension as a gift and in the meantime, put together a plan for when it really does break for good. Hopefully, it won't, but I have a feeling it's coming.

There should be a little door near the bottom of the washer. there should be a hose connection to drain more of the water out but you will never can it completely empty.
Check on-line for your make and model and they should have a manual that will show you the procedure for draining the washer.

I know when this happened to ours, I had to get the little socks that accumulated just underneath the door seal. It blocks one of the other drains.(or so i have been told) And mine also has a compartment on the front when you pop off the lower front of the machine to drain better and to check if it isn't draining right. Hope you figure it out!!
