    Default I'm getting a bread machine! For free!

    I emailed my BFF to ask her opinion of her bread machine. She called me and said I was welcome to it because it was stored in her attic.

    For the cost of UPS shipping, I'll be the new owner of a WelBilt bread machine with all the bells and whistles.

    Oh, happy day!

    Bread, rolls, pizza dough... you are going to love it! We don't buy bread anymore except for hot dog rolls every once in a while.
    Oh we do buy English muffins but are going to start making those ourselves too.

    I'll take baby steps: first dough, then basic white bread and then I have a recipe for 12 grain bread that I'm eager to try.

    I misspoke, it's 9 Grain Bread:

    9 Grain Bread Recipe:

    * 7/8 cup water( if you use a welbilt machine add another tablespoon)
    * 1 cup of whole wheat flour
    * 1 cup of bread flour
    * 1/2 cup of any grains..Or 9 grain cereal
    * 1 teaspoon of salt
    * 1 tablespoon butter/margarine
    * 2 tablespoons of sugar
    * 1 tablespoon nonfat dry milk
    * 2 teaspoons active dry yeast

    1. Use a light crust setting, allow to cool before slicing.

    But I did find this:

    Multi-Grain Bread:

    3/4 cup water
    1 1/4 cup bread flour
    1/4 cup wheat bread flour
    1 tablespoon dry milk
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 tablespoon butter
    1/4 cup nine grain rolled cereal
    2 tablespoons bulgur wheat
    1 tablespoon sunflower seeds
    1 tablespoon sesame seeds
    1 1/2 tablespoon honey
    1 teaspoon fast rise or machine yeast

    Place the ingredients in the bread pan in the order recommended by the
    machine manufacturer.

    What do you think?

    I have an inherited bread machine that I would love to use but it really intimidates me. Does anyone have any good resources for s novice?

    I have not made English muffins in my bread machine, but I have made it in the microwave, this worked out really well, and I think the loaf stays fresh longer than do the individual muffins.

    Congrats I know I love mine
