Question Are you fixing anything outside this spring?

    We have a couple projects:

~I need to finish painting dh's workshop and then we will put trim around the windows and doors once the painting is done.

~We have a new kitchen window (not quite an outside job) that needs to be put in. We have the window, we just need to have time to get it done in one day.

    How about you?

    -Staining and sealing the deck
-Putting up the rest of the lattice (which involves cutting off the old step supports where we removed steps.)
-Cutting down some trees, re-setting the fencing that used to be there, and training the grape vines to grow over it to replace the lost privacy. (And we will also be digging up the septic/sewer {don't ask} when we take the trees out.)
-continue scraping the hideous green off the window casings and paint them red
-fix fence gates, place new locks on them (pool)
    -fix leak in pool
    -fix chimney

Whew- that's a lot!! Glad a few of them at least are pretty simple jobs!

I have a large deck that is built around a maple tree. We started to stain it last year, that is until the fuzzies started to rain on us. We will be starting to finish the project this weekend. Before they start to show up again.

I would also like dh to put up an arbor for me sometime in this spring.

Dh is doing the inside finishing of one of our garages. He's finished the electrical and the insulation. He has to put in the electrical for a "future" garage door opener and then we are just waiting for money to call in the guys to do the drywall.

I've been trying to keep the weeds at bay and not very successfully.

Also just doing general cleanup work and tossing broken items.

Last weekend Steve and I built a "lean to" onto his shed to park the lawnmower and cart under to get them off the carport.
We also hung a wooden swing on the carport.

This weekend we started putting up soffit (looks like vinyl siding) on the ceiling of the carport. This will take a few weekends...it's a slow process with all the cutting, measuring, hanging etc
I'll have Steve pressurewash the carport when it's done,to make it look even better

We still need to stain and seal the deck....this should have been done last summer, but we never got around to it. It NEEDS to be done this summer!!!

I'm sure I'll think of something else for him to do

We're doing cosmetic work on our covered porch. We need to repaint some trim on the house. I want to hang some flower baskets on the front porch. We just planted impatiens in one big flower bed. We've got so much more that probably should be done but the money is not there right now.
