Fixin up my patio...on the cheap!

I am working on an ongoing project for my patio. And I thought it would be fun to see how cheap i can do it. The patio and roof ar nearly all done, so I am not going to count what is already there. the list of supplies will be what i need to finish it including large items priced as in stores. we will see how cheap i can do this.

I bet you can get a suana used or maybe even one that needs to be repaired for free. Try to run a add in the paper that says you are looking for a sauna and that someone will be willing to give you if you pick it up.

Missy, keep your eye on craigslist, under the free, I saw some of things you were looking for there..Like the sauna.I can't remember how long ago it was.. Good Luck!

Missy we have here a Happy Harolds. Most of the the stuff they sell is either second hand or brand new from US. We did our roof for 1/2 the price in the old house. Keep and eye open for materials that may have simple flaws and can be worked around it.
If your looking for simple fake trees.*
*Get a bigger pot, (styrofoam,)
* put a simple smaller branch in it, and plaster paris or concrete it over it for weight.
* drill small holes and put smaller branches in them.
* glue fake leaves from dolar stores or thrift shops on them.
And put mini white lights over them for the evening look is really nice.

missy , i wonder how much it would cost to make fake palm trees out of plaster of paris, and newspaer, then shellaic it, varnish it, many times. keep out of rain just incase. lol fake leaves would be easy to find.
