Fruit punch on carpet...any suggestions?????
My sister is getting her house ready to sell and the realtor said if she does not get the one spot of fruit punch off the rug than she will have to put down a new rug. My sister really does not want to have to buy a new rug for the living room. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get fruit punch off of an off-white rug?

This may be one of those times when its worth it to call and pay a professional. We had many stains both from children and pets in our old light green carpet. Tried many different things then called a professional. For around $75.00 he treated the stains, scrubbed them then steamed them out. He worked what we considered a miricle. The carpet looked and smelled a world different. I really believe it was a combination of his knowledge and the products he used and his machine that did the great job. It was worth every dime.

I have 2 suggestions:
1. Scrub it with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. DH once tracked motor oil all through the house, on our NEW carpet. I tried everything, the only thing that worked was the Magic Eraser. I didn't use any type of carpet spray/cleaner. Just the eraser.
2. Hairspray. I know it will get ink stains out of clothes, even after going in the dryer. Don't ask me how I know this.
It's worth a shot.
Let us know if she's able to get it out.

We have a lot of spot appear on our carpets thanks to the kids and the cats... and sometimes me.

Resolve carpet cleaner is our first try. It usually takes out anything that's fairly recent.
After that, we move on to our Dirt Devil Spot Cleaner.... I can't think of any spots that it hasn't removed. It cost us around $50 I think- it was a few years ago. It uses regular carpet cleaner, but it's hand-held and easy to use.

I have a couple of suggestions. I know it sounds cheesy, but OXY-CLEAN really does work wonders on punch/coolaid type stains.
Also, if that fails, there's a product called Mostenbachers Lift-Off. There are two different formulas for different types of stains. It comes in an aerosol can and you can get it at most hardware/auto parts stores. It was a life saver for me when my daughter was little and let crayons melt in my brand new car. Got EVERY BIT out.

My sister has decided to hire someone to get the stain out. She said she tried several of things you all suggested and the stain is still not out. I will let you all know if the professional is able to get it out.
The saga continues..............
