I need painting advice also...

My daughter has a desk and chair from Ikea. They are basically plastic. The bright red color no longer goes with her room decor. She's 12 and thinks she's grown, so I recently agreed to buy her new curtains and comforter set. The one she picked out is a beautiful satiny cinnamony brown, with dark purple and teal accents.

Obviously I need to paint the red areas. Has anyone used that Krylon spray paint that's designed for plastic? Does it actually work? She is at her desk for very long periods of time, doing homework and playing games on the pc. She does tend to put her feet on the little red "shelf" on the bottom of the desk and I'm hoping that if I paint it, it will hold up under heavy use.

Anybody?????

We used the Krylon spray paint for our plastic mailbox in AL. It worked very well. STINKS to high heaven, but didn't peel or chip off. Pretty good considering it was out in the blazing Alabama sun all day every day

Thanks, YankeeMom. I'll paint 'em up this weekend and maybe if it works out, I'll have a solution for the homely white plastic furniture on the porch.
