    Default Wow! What a sale!

ok ladies & gents! Sit down cause your not gonna believe this one! ok, maybe you will...
Bigy had the best sale I've seen in a long time!
    They had:
dozen large brown eggs 12/$12- I bought 6
giant loaf white bread-12/$12-I bought 12
    black olives 12/$12-I bought 12
    Land o'Lakes stick margarine 16oz-12/$12- I bought 18!!
    Strawberries-buy 1 get 2 free- I bought 2 and got 4 free!
Ruffles potato chips-buy1get1free- I bought 2 and got 2 free
    Ronzoni ziti,rigatoni,and ziti rigoti- 12/$12-I bought 12
    Ready for the total?
    $188.51 without sale prices.
    $107.89 after sale prices
I had a $10 of $60 coupon so grand total was
    $97.89!!!
My DH went with me and he was shocked! He said "you save as much as you spend"!
I was thinking about this sale all week! It ends tomorrow. I was debating if I had enough in my budget this month to do any shopping and then today I was asked to work overtime tomorrow!
GOD ANSWERED MY PRAYER TO GO TO THIS SALE!
So, off I went and stocked up!
I'm going to cut the strawberries and freeze them. I guess I better start looking for strawberry recipes! LOL
    So? Did I do good?

I figure the bread will last us about 3 months, eggs about 2 months, pasta about 6 months, margarine about 6 months, chips will only last a month if that! My DH and DS are chip-a-holics! And it was DH favorite brand/flavor!
I was debating on buying more eggs but decided that 6 dozen was enough. I think I'm going to freeze 3 dozen.
I don't have any extra ice trays so I'm not sure how else to freeze them. But I'll start a new thread on that.

Could you use muffin tins to freeze your eggs in?
Then just pop them out and put them in baggies.
Then take out what you need and let thaw in the baggies.

Domestic Gal- that's what I was thinking but I tried to freeze muffins uncooked once and they got stuck in the pan! I had to bake them! I'm just afraid that would happen with the eggs. I would love to hear if anyone has done it and how.

    That's great!!!!!

My store here has 10/$10, but nothing that is ever that good.

They're having one now, but not a lot there I want to stock up on. Just a few things I can get for dh's lunches.
