Default Great Shopping Trip at Stop & Shop

Today I decided to take advantage of some special buys at my local Stop & Shop. They had a great deal on Coke 12 packs and DH brings at least 3 cans to work every day, so I like to stock up when it's cheap. I also had some .50/1 Propel coupons that were expiring on Monday.

My Stop & Shop only doubles 4 coupons for the same product per transaction, so because I had 20 Propel coupons, I did 5 transactions at the self checkout.

    Here is what I got

    20 Propel 20oz - $1.00 each
    1 half gal milk - $2.19
1 package of 8 Hamburg rolls - reduced to $1.00
    1 8oz Butter spread- $1.29
    3.5 lbs Boneless Chicken Breast - $6.37
    5 Coke 12 packs - $10.00
Bottle Deposit for Coke - $3.00
    1 160z Daisy Sour Cream - $1.50
    2 Lloyd's Shredded BBQ - $5.99 B1G1
    1 Box Shredded Wheat - $2.50
    1 Pkg Peach Jello - .40
    1 pkg Butterscotch Pudding- .50
    1 Pkg Lipton Pyramid Tea - $3.69

    Used these coupons:

    20 .50/1 Propel (doubled)
1 .50/1 Daisy Sour Cream (doubled)
    2 $1.00/1 Lloyd's
    1 FREE Pyramid Tea

    Total before coupons = $83.26

    Total I paid= $32.34

I was so excited! The Lloyd's BBQ Meat will provide us with 2 full meals, eating with a salad. The Coke, as I said is a steal at 17 cents a can, we recycle so we will recoup the bottle deposits, and the Propel will be a great thirst quencher (at FREE) for all of us! The chicken was a fantastic deal, and will provide us with meat for 3 to 4 meals. All in all I think I hit a great deal today.

I do not like the Pyramid tea, but will use it in a gift basket for my mom or MIL's birthday.

Yeah! I actually had an older woman get in line behind me. I said, as I held up my coupons "I don't hink you want to be behind me" and kinda laughed. She just said thanks and Good for you!

If you shop the loss leaders and combine coupons, yes. But for everyday prices they are high.
