    Default My Albertson's Deal

Well, every now and then Alberston does an "8 hour sale" usually on a thursday, where they have 8-10 items that are ridiculously marked down. This is usually the only time I shop there. Here's what I got today.

    -2lbs cheese ($6!)
-6 Banquet/Budget gourmet meals 2 for DH 2 for DS and 2 for me. Just incase we don't have leftovers and need a quick lunch, can't beat the price!($0.59 each)
-Albertson's brand cookie crisp cereal. Wasn't part of the sale but it was marked down and DH needed SOMETHING to eat for breakfast ($1)
-12pk double rolls toilet paper Albertson's brand ($5)
-5+ lbs of Boneless Skinless chicken breast ($8.72 was $1.69 per lb!)
-1/2lb Jennie-O turkey breast sliced from the deli ($1.61)
-Albertson's french bread (had a free coupon)

I also had a coupon for $2.50 off a purchase of $25 or more, and brought my own bags so I got 15 cents back for those.

    Grand Total: $23.41

    and my savings?

$39.71!!! Feels good to save like that again.

Great job! How is it that you shop at Albertsons? My dh worked for them and they went out of business when they were bought out by SaveMart. Did someone else buy the name?

They're here in FL too. Alot of them in the state were bought out by Savemart also. Now I heard that Publix is buying 59 of their stores here too. I'm our's isn't one of them because they do run great sales, even though most of the other stuff is unthinkably over-priced! I like their Butcher Block, and they carry the greatest Italian sausage. Always stock up on it during their BOGO sales. Their whole wheat french bread is awesome, and of course you obviously know that alot of times you get it free for doing the call-in survey.

Anyway, I know you're doing the "Happy Couponner" dance , and I would've went back for more of the cheese too. It's harder than ever to get good cheese on the cheap these days!

    Nice work!

    Theresa
