Great bargain day! I hit the goldmine!
So I haven't been tag saleing yet this year. My sister and I decided to go this morning. Most of them were a bust but I did find a brown sugar saver for $0.25 (its a little terracotta thing that you soak in water and put in the bag- it keeps the sugar from getting hard)
Then at another tag sale I found a picture that I've seen around and love it. They had it in perfect condition and marked for $10. I asked if they would take less and said "sure, what would you like to pay?" so I offered $5 and they took it! I am going to hang it in my bedroom! It's perfect!
We ended up getting rained out so we decided to go to Goodwill and nose around there.
I got a pair of really cute pants for $4.99, a duvet cover for $3, a pair of curtains that I'm going to use as a shower curtain for $5, and a great vintage purse for $5!
I felt so good! Everything is perfect! The duvet cover is the color I was looking for for our bedroom. It matches my lamp shades! It's awesome! And the shower curtain is like a beige crinkly material that ties at the top! It's great!
I'm so excited. I just had to share my great finds! I've never had such a great find in my life!Me 34 DH 37 DS 6

Even though it rained, it sounds like it was still a good day for bargain shopping.

I had been looking for a quilt, comforter or bedspread since I decided I was going to go with the burgundy/beige romance theme in our bedroom. I couldn't believe it when I saw this duvet cover and then the cashier had no idea what to put it under so they gave it to me at the price a sheet set would cost! $3! WHOO HOO! I washed and dried it and just put it on the existing quilt we had last night! IT looks awesome! Exactly what I wanted! Now I just have to save enough up to buy some paint for the walls! I'm going to hang the picture of the gerbera daisies today also. It is a long picture with about 8-10 individual flowers in individual clear vases. each flower is a different color-white,off white, yellow, pink, red, ect. Can't remember all of them, it's upstairs. It has a black frame and it's in perfect condition! I only paid $5 for it! My gosh! I'm still excited about the great buys I got! The shower curtain, I didn't really need, but have always looked for a new one that smacked me. Those kinds of things I don't buy too often. My last shower curtain I had for about 6 years. I left it behind in the old apartment when we bought this house because the previous owners left the one that I'm curently using. It matches the switchplate covers. But the new crinkly beige one matches too! So, time to switch it out! I'll put the old one on freecycle since it's still in perfect condition. In with the new, out with the old!
