Default Question about rebates and grocery budget.

I think I am doing this right. Walgreen's has some great Kellogg's deals right now. If I buy 4 of their 4/$10 cereals, and 6 of their 5/$10 snacks, I will get $10 register rewards back. I plan on using coupons as well, so my total will be around $18 for the ten items. Then I will get $10 rewards back instantly, and qualify for the $10 rebate from Kellogg's.

I was just wondering, what do you guys do with the rebates? I was thinking I could do the deal a second time, using the rewards, so I would only be spending $8 oop, and then sending in a second rebate to Kellogg's with my in-law's address. Do you put the money back into groceries or do you save it for something else?

I tried to do this earlier this week and ran into these problems:

My Walgreen's had 0 boxes of cereal left on Wed. No Walgreen's around me had any more either.

The Manager, a friend who I was complaining to, said if I had tried to use some coupons for this purchase, no RR would have printed.

So I didn't do anything yet.

    Anyone else have this problem?

A friend of mine just used hers today and got the RRs no problem. She said there was a bug with the RRs earlier in the week, so maybe that's why?

I have purchased 10 of the Kellogg products this week. I purchased 5 Sunday and had no problem receiving the RR. On Wednesday, I tried to purchase 5 more and no RR printed, so the manager had to be called. He went to another register and brought back the $5 RR for me. So, I do think they were having problems with the RR's this week.

As for what do I do with my rebate money, I usually put it back in the grocery budget.

the other day on the cereal 4/10. I did three different transaction`s.
I did the first one, with the reward,I bought the swiffer duster`s they had on sale. then carried it out to the car.
then I did the next 2. with the reward I got the peanut butter and the Jelly. I got a candle, a ruler, a diet coke.
walgreen`s is out of town for me so I spend my reward`s before I leave the store.
If I don` I`ll loose out because I don`t go to that town as much.
