Sara, they sure do look similar and the price is right.

Here are some reviews from the similar product. (from Amazon)
Wayyy overrated., October 16, 2008
By Danielle Jarico (TX) - See all my reviews
Everyone else liked these so I ordered them, however, i tried to use them on my legs and it barely took any hair off at all! I tried them on my arms as well. NO luck. Just took off a bunch of skin. Maybe they'll be better the second try?? doubt it but we'll see...
Great Product!, July 19, 2007

I swear by these mitts. They use to carry them at Walgreens and then stopped. I found them on Amazon, like I find everything on Amazon. I use them for arm hair and sometimes leg hair but they are wonderful!
Finally found!!!, May 7, 2007
By Michele Parker "crazyebaylady" (Flint, mi) - See all my reviews
This is the easiest way to remove unwanted hair from face as well as legs and arms. This product use to be available at Walmart, but for some reason they quit carrying it so glad to have found it on amazon. Thanks so much!
Thank Heavens for Hair Off Mittens, January 15, 2007

Hair Off Mittens are great. They leave your skin feeling smooth. I have used them for several years and I enjoy them very much. I recomend them to anyone who wants smooth skin.

This sounded like a stupid idea, but my sister sent me a package, and I love it. The hair comes off easily, your legs are smooth, and it takes the dead skin off with the hair, so my legs look really good.

i don't trust much you can buy from the tv...i once watched a guy take a car hood that came from the dump...rub his product on it and 'presto' it looked brand spanking new....well, i said to myself...that's the stuff for me.... so i shelled out 29.99 (plus 10 bucks for the shipping and handling and lunch for the guy packing it up) and i got my bottle in the mail...did a little dance...ran to the garage with a rag and dumped it on my hood.... now what do you think happened? a) i got a shiny new hood or
b) the guy that sold me the bottle was one step closer to his vacation that year....
well lets just say i hope the weather in tahiti was nice that year.....
and i just continued to drive around my dull, flat, lifeless paintjob of a car....
believe about 1/10th of what you see.... but here's a thought...most of what is being pushed on tv ends up in some store or another within 6 months..so wait and buy it there...then you can return it to them if it isn't all that its cracked up to be...and also...you don't have to buy lunch for the packing department either....lol

That smooth away is circles of fine sand paper and a holder. Just pick up a piece of very fine sand paper.

I just bought this from Carol Wright catalog. Got free shipping on whole order. I tried it on my legs and it did work for me. Now, I had to use a little more pressure than the "light" pressure they say to use, but there were no harm in using more pressure. It did take the hair off the legs and left all the skin. I just did one small patch. It will take longer than razor shaving, but you need no water or other products, so it's good in my book.
