The Magic Bullet looks almost identical to a gadget I picked up at Aldi for much less. If you have a use for its functions- chopping, blending, etc., then YES it is great! I make a lot of protein shakes. If I didn't, I don't think I'd bother with a blender-type apparatus at all. I think I've used it 3 times in the past 6 months for non-protein shake purposes

It is easy to clean, all you have is a cup and a ring and the section with the blade on it- I just give the latter part a rinse under running water and it is clean. I think that there is less mess than a full-sized blender, and it is easy to reach into the cups to clean them (if you don't have a dishwasher.)

So I'd say this type of gizmo is great, but like so many other things, it is only great if you are going to use it.

does it work? This all depends on what you are needing it for. It doesn't "dice" too well, but as far as mixing/blending it's super handy!
    Anyone used this?

What are your thoughts? We've had ours for about 5 years and we've used it *alot* for making milkshakes, smoothies, hummus, etc.
Now, I don't know if it's the user, or the actual machine, but we could never get it to dice without making things smooth, such as tomatoes.

Does it save you time?Defiantely. It's soooo much easier to use than a full sized blender & clean up is sooo, sooo, sooo much quicker!

The only downside to it, if you'd call it a downside. Is after MUCH use, sometimes the little plastic nubes around the tops of the glases can break/wear off (in our case, they've been worn off) from so much blending.
Now, you can still blend in them, but you just won't be able to twist the cups onto the base and leave them. You'll literally have to keep your hand on it during the entire time, so think-pulsing action here.

They also take up no space, either on top of your counter or inside. But again, it all depends on what you need it to do.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask!

I love mine. That being said, I use it only for my protein shakes for breakfast and making my own salad dressing. I couldn't ever get it to dice either, it does whip things pretty smooth.

I love mine too and use it a lot. Like mentioned it doesn't "dice"...for example, onions...you will get mush instead. But for everything else...smoothies, mixing batters, whipping eggs....it works great! And yes, my "nubs" on the blade wore off like mentioned, but I was able to buy a replacement blade on ebay.

I love my Magic Bullet! I use it all the time to mix shakes, dressings, etc. It's so easy just to pour liquids into it and mix it up for drinks. I have used it to chop up eggs. I even used it one time when I need XXX sugar and didn't have any. So I made it! It's a handy thing to have in the kitchen.

I had one, hated it and returned it. It was clumbsy to store because none of the many cups stacked together. It didnt blend the same was as in the info commercial. I had to take it off and shake it around then put it on, take it off ... just more of a nuisance.

I see no reason to purchase a magic bullet. I use one of those small mason jar drinking glasses that has a handle on it and I screw it onto my regular blender. A small mason jar would work as well. They all have the same size opening that fits perfectly on the blender in place of the usual blender dispenser. Then it does basically the same thing as the magic bullet.

I have never thought of using a mason glass. That's very creative! Is there any chance that the blades might hit the glass and chip it?
