Last week, I grabbed the $.19 pencils & pens - and a few other things, but from what I remember, nothing was "free"
I still have $5 RR to use tomorrow.
The new ad is very disappointing, but that's ok - it just means I have a short list
CVS is looking good for this coming week though -

Our Walgreens stocks very little in depth of anything = frustration. Even though I recently changed my prescriptions to a CVS drugstore, I will continue to shope at Walgreens only for their great deals. Still need to learn how to work with CVS and their deals - but it's in my best interest so I will learn!!

I forgot I did pick up the .19 cent mechanical pencils for ds, that was a great deal! But yes, this week's ad is disappointing!
I went to that site looking for the new ad, the "hot" one we can't name here, and was reading up on Walgreens deals, rules, etc. yesterday. My head was spinning, lol!
So much info. there! I go there from time to time to find the great deals. I have three RR's, one for $5. expiring tomorrow, and another for $3. expiring this week. Need to find something useful in this ad!

The $.19 pencils were $.29 here (that's a 50% increase in price) and they were out of them anyway next week. Nothing of interest in their sales ad this week.

OK, I found a couple deals for this week for those of you who have expiring RR's or otherwise!

The Gillette Fusion ProGlide razor system is $9.89 - $5 back in RR's = like paying $4.89. There is a coupon for $4.00 in the 6/6 P&G insert, making it $.89 cents!
In the 5/16 SmartSource insert there is a coupon for $1.00 off two Nabisco crackers. Front page of the Walgreens ad - 3 oz. Nabisco crackers are 2/$1 = after coupon FREE!

Well, I used the rr I had as they expired today.
I bought things I felt I needed some on sale some not.
Today I spent 2.61 oop and used $5 in rr.
I got
1 package of Hair bands ( no ouch fabric kind) the colors I wanted were in a bonus double pack (2.99 price "5.99 value")
2 packages of lined paper ( on sale for 2 for $1)
and 3 packages of movie sized candy (3 for $3 didn't need three but it has been a while since we had candy so I splurged a bought one for everyone)
I did not get any rr in return so this run is over.
Summary: For 22.35 ( which includes tax)
I bought
4 body washes
3 movie sized candies
2 2 liters of soda
2 packages of lined filer paper
2 boxes of raisin bran
2 packages of hair bands (the kind for pony tails)
1 shampoo
1 hair dye
1 Four pack of Little Miss's favorite lip balm
1 Liter size Crest pro health mouth wash
1 trial size deodorant
That is an average of 1.12 per item. Not bad at all.
I would of had to buy most if not all of that some were else as some point or another (body wash was something I would have not bought but though this buy we we discovered the children love it, especially Buddy so that is a great thing and will be on our look out for deals list from now on) So it was good for Walgreens because they got some of my money that might have gone some where else and I was able to spend less getting it.
Will I do this Walgreens thing again? Yes, it was a good thing. I won't play the game just to play the game/get the deal though. I will be looking out for the things we need and the occasional treat when they pop up on good deals."Everyday as your walking down the street, everybody that you meet has an original point of view" -Arthur PBS

Wasn't deal looking but was surprised at the walgreen's checkout.
I had gone in for a few needs
Speedo goggles (13.99 on the yellow hanger tag),
markers ( I new these we on sale for 99 cents)
thin markers ( pack had a few smelly markers that Little Miss has been desiring) 5.99 on the yellow hanger tag) markers are on the school list this year Little Miss is so excited.
They rang up
Speedo goggles 7.99 (sale)
fat marker .99 (sale)
thin markers 3.99 (sale)
so everything was less than I thought I was going to spend on the goggles.
I was very happy."Everyday as your walking down the street, everybody that you meet has an original point of view" -Arthur PBS

There were a few "like free" registrar rewards this week, markers and crayons and something else.
I didn't need any of those so I skipped them.
I did get a six pack of markers for 19 cents
and
for 49 cents I bought a clearance package of school supplies (Penway 10 pack pencil sharpener a eraser set -included four erasers, four pencil top erasers and two hand held pencil sharpers) I bought two of those. We use lots of erasers. We make lot of mistakes. I tell the children mistakes are good they are how we learn.

I didn't see anything too worthwhile at CVS either. I did do the milk deal. Buy (1) @ 3.19 get $1ECB back and I had $1 ECB all by it's lonesome from another trip so I used it, too. $2.19 for a gallon of milk, plus getting $1 back is a pretty good deal IMHO. I also got the Dawn dishsoap that was .97. I had a $1/1 MQ for that so it was free. I can't remember the last time I actually paid for dishsoap lol.
