Default What I am doing at CVS tomorrow...

I don't have any type of stockpile or extra bucks so I am just getting back into the game. I am in need of deodorant, toothpaste, cough drops and shaving cream this week and figured its a good week to start.

Here is what I am doing:

mascara 9.99 with 7 extra bucks

    then

    2 colgate (2.75 each) 5.50
    1 halls 1.87
    ----------
    7.37 total - 7extra bucks from prior = .37 oop w/ 5 extra bucks

    2 speed stick deodorant 5.50 - 5 extra bucks from prior = .50 oop w/ 3extra bucks

Skintimate shave cream 3.19 - 3extra bucks= .19 oop w/ 2.50 extra bucks for the next time I go CVSing

Total spent: 11.05 oop w/ 2.50 eb (total really spent if you minus the extra bucks for next trip- $8.55 for 7 items $1.22 /each)

I figured if I would buy the things at the grocery store here would have been the approximate costs:

    Deodorant for 1- 2.55
    Colgate- 2.50 on sale
    Shaving cream- 2.19 (I think?)
    Halls 1.99

This equals 9.23 - so I am spending $1.82 more for mascara, another colgate, and another deodorant and I still have $2.50 for my next trip.

    I am a happy camper!

Whoohoo! I love CVS and hit it almost every Sunday. I will check their sales when I pick up a paper.

You will be back in the game in no time.

Yeah those deals above are WITHOUT coupons to, I can't wait til I actually get some coupons! This area for some reason cut out red plum coupons I can't find them anywhere, and the coupons are all ads. I am not sure whats going on!! On the philly inquirer it says $450 worth of coupons this week, there was only about $100 and its been this way for months and months.

That stinks about the Red Plum. It's usually in ours every week. Well, I think one week it wasn't.

I think the April Proctor & Gamble coupon insert is supposed to be in tomorrow's paper. That may help with coupons for you.

Do you belong to this for colgate coupons?

If you sign up here, you should get a Halls coupon (though low value at the moment, I think):

I've never had the first coupon in Red Plum. Ever

Do you get Smartsource cpns? There is a $1/1 for Colgate, a 75 cent Halls, and a 55c/1 Skintimate, and a Speed Stick or Lady Speed Stick Deodorant 50c/1 coupon in the 3/27 Smartsource cpns.

Follow thekrazycouponlady she always printable coupons...have FB? Frugal Girls is another good site for the deals/cpns

Don't forget to swipe your Extra Care card at the red kiosk located somewhere in CVS. You'll get a bunch of coupons, some of which you might be able to use.

I know you are on a budget, but I'd put acquiring a printer on the list of things to get. With your focus on saving money, being able to print coupons would pay for it quickly. You might want to watch the thrift stores, garage sales, etc. Even amazon has a printer for about $30. Naturally it's the printer cartridges that nail you, running $25-35 each, but they last a pretty long time.

At least put out the word to friends and family that you would welcome one. Someone might have one to get rid of! We have given away several over the years.

Sounds great! I belong to Refund Cents and read about these amazing deals people get at CVS. I just can never seem to put those deals together. I'm impressed with how you'll be doing at CVS today!

    I'm a RCer too

You must have a cell? Check into Cellfire.com and Target mobile for your other shopping needs. CVS hasn't gone mobile yet.

This'll seem like a silly question....but this is my first time in a town with a CVS. How do you get the bucks? Do you just automatically get them at the register or is there some sort of program you have to join? Sounds like amazing savings!

Sign up for their free Extra Care card to get coupons and you purchase items that will have bucks (changes weekly~similiar to Walgreen's register rewards) printed out at the register after you purchase them.
