    Default Amazing Publix shopping trips

I'm new to Publix since I just moved to the south, and so far they've seemed really pricey to me. But I recently caught on to their weekly BOGO deals, so today I went there just to take advantage of some for things I buy anyway (or would like to buy if it were just cheaper, aka Breyer's!).

    BOGOs:
    Barilla pasta (4)
    Breyer's ice cream (2)
    Wheat Thins (2)
    Dove Promises chocolate (4)

Fish Eye wine was on sale so I bought 4 bottles of that for $20 total, and even got a free reusable Publix wine bag which is like a reusable grocery bag but just big enough for 4 bottles of wine, with divided compartments. So cool!

Also, Pedigree Marrobone dog treats (huge bags!) were on sale 2/$6 and I had two $1 coupons, so I paid $2 each instead of $3.99 each. And those will last us a long time! Also Pedigree Good Bites were on sale 2/$6 and I had a $2 off coupon, so bought one for $1 instead of $3.49.

The Maybelline mascara I use was on sale for 30% off and I had a $1 off coupon so I got it for $2.98 instead of $5.69

I still spent $50.45 (inc. tax), but I saved $34.06!

So I was all excited for myself, and then ...

I saw THIS woman's Publix shopping trip: Reader Spotlight: The 8-Foot Receipt : I Heart Publix

HOLY COW! She saved $417.40 and paid $1.72 out of pocket. Hooooow?

Anyone ever have such an amazing shopping trip at Publix???

    Welcome to the South, Acidcookie!
We don't have a Publix here in my hometown, but there's a couple in the Atlanta suburb where my dh works. This afternoon, on his way home from work, he stopped in and bought $113 worth of groceries for $43. I'm so proud of him! We just love Publix. ♥♥♥

I love this site: Southern Savers She has Publix, Kroger and several other southern grocery stores' deals of the week and coupon matchups.

I, too, love publix. We always save more than we spend. A good thing to know is that they accept competitor's coupons and will stack them with publix coupons. We got $10 off using a Sweetbay coupon and a free $10 publix giftcard for our next trip.

I also got the fish eye wine and am excited to try it!
