    Default Home made butter deal

A few days ago i found that kroger had marked down there heavy whipping cream. So i payed $ 1.00 a quart and bought 4 of them. Whipped then all up today and filled 8 coolwhip containers full. Kept one out for fridge and froze the rest. When you defrost them just gotta drain off the liqued off the top.

No Kroger here..........but may have to go check Fred Meyer.

If the whipping cream has the 'mono whatever' in it.......I would pass. Takes forever to whip.........the only one I have found that is just pure straight cream is Albertson's........and not cheap.

I get fresh cream from the farms and make my own butter at times as well. I can't get from the store as most of store brands at mine are ultra pasteurized.

    Great job!

I must have done something wrong with my butter making days. I took the heavy whipping creame and put it into the blender and let it run for a half hour and it never turned into butter it only got warm and watery. If another deal comes along then I will try it again.
