Default Ok so I saved about $70 today....BUT

I drove 2 hours to pick up a Christmas gift that was on sale (paid for it b.t.w. b/c it saved me $50 to do so) BUT the dang thang wouldn't fit into my car!!! It was in a huge box.....gggrrrhhhh. So now we'll have to go back on another day after the holiday.
While in town I found 20 volume cream developer (peroxide....my mom highlights my hair which saves me about $40 a pop) on sale for $7.99/gallon....it will take me about 2 years to use it all up but $7.99 is what I usually pay for about a quart of it. So I was thrilled. I also bought my spiral cut ham on sale for $1.69/lb. and got my Christmas turkey for .39/lb. I filled my car up at Sam's Club for $1.69/gal. which is the cheapest we've seen in a while for gas. Woo hoo I'm happy about my deals but not so thrilled to have to make another trip in the pickup to get the gift..... . Oh and you'll be happy to know that I walked around in Dunlaps looking at clothes and shoes and walked out completely empty handed

We once were visiting in Dallas; went to a very good sale on some electronics -- a printer, I think -- and it wouldn't fit into the car.

We lived about 700 miles away, so had to pass on the sale.

Twice we have bought things that wouldn't fit in the car. A tv and a computer. Both times we took it out of the box stuck it in the back seat and put the flattened box and packing material in the trunk.
Wow! Gas prices are great there!

We purchased a new television once and it wouldn't fit in the car but we we removed the cardboard boxing it was able to fit into our car which is a Tarsus. It's times like this when I miss my Aerostar Van. We could fit anything in it.

Sounds like you got some fantastic deals! I can't believe how low the price of gas was.
