Whoa...could these shorts be any shorter?!?
Even when I had the body to be able to wear those I wouldn't have!

I'm so glad I have boys!
Those shorts are entirely too short and I'm disappointed that stores sell stuff like that. Those are underwear, not outdoor shorts! What are these designers thinking? Sure, sex sells, but my goodness! Some 15-16 year old is going to be wearing these!! UGH!
(Can you tell this is one of my issues? Scantily clad young women make me twitch!)

I think this pic makes them look shorter because the waist band is folded down. They are short tho

No way would my dd wear those, nor would we let her. She still will not wear a dress unless she has shorts on underneath so, no one can see her panties. No wonder there are so many sick people, it is encourged by these things.
I agree with you Maggie, this is an issue that bugs the heck out of me and what are people thinking

Um....why bother? What is really sad is I have a hard time finding shorts that I think are long enough for my 7 year old! All the stuff is just junior miss stuff shrunk down.

What about the shorts that have something written on the backside? A friend of mine told me her husband said "You can't help but look at it to read it - and I don't want to be looking a teenage girl's behinds!!!!"Originally posted by mom24+2

I know it is sick. They even have short shorts in dd size 5-6, that even have writing on the back of them. It is sick, I mean I don't want to seem to old fashioned but not on my daughter, it is too risky to put something like that on a little girl or even a teen,I never wore that stuff and I am not that old.But I guess we are more old fashioned anway, not neive about the real world either, just not "hip".
I wear short skirts or tight pants when dh and I go out together, couple times a year, and I never would without him, it is just not worth the risk. And I sure as heck don't want to encourage perverts to look at me, let alone my dd.
But this is the day and age we live in, it is ok to do what you want and wear what you want and such. If you don't keep up with it then you are too out of date, well guess what I will gladly take the second than the first.

It's terrible that they market things like this to young teens. What parent would buy these for their child???
