Default 10 for $10 at local grocery

The local grocery - Food Lion - is running a 10 for $10 mix and match special. I am hoping I can get back there once we get our next paycheck. They had fresh broccoli & cauliflower, Zesta crackers, gatorade, campbell's soups (the kind the kids like with Dora and stuff), and a bunch of other things I could use to stock my pantry.

I did get one broccoli and one cauliflower and some soup.

The different stores around here are going crazy with these sales. So, once a week I look thru all the sales and see what I need and away I go. I have gotten Clorox bleach for a $1.00 a bottle.(96 oz), 18 count eggs, butter 1lb.,sugar and flour, mayo, tuna fillets, chicken breast, and the list goes on. Some weeks are better than others, but the savings do add up.

Our Kroger has this sale frequently. You can get some decent deals, but alot of time I can find the same things at WalMart or FoodTown for under a buck each. For lazy days, I stock up on Hamburger Helper when they put it at this price. My husband and boys seem to love that vile stuff.

I've bought groceries @ PATHMARK when they had the 10 for $10.00 it lasted for a few weeks on different items, then I bought GATORADE, SKIPPY, frozen veges, onion rings, french fries, apple juice, etc. This was when I had to drive DH to work @ 6AM I'd go grocery shopping then get back just in time to make Ma's breakfast by 8 AM....I haven't been there in a few weeks now but just checked the circular @ http://www.pathmark.com & there's a few items this week for 10 for $10.00.

    http://www.pathmark.com/circular/magnify.asp?pg=14

Oh WOW even PRODUCE this week!

    http://www.pathmark.com/circular/magnify.asp?pg=16

    Some Dairy items

    http://www.pathmark.com/circular/magnify.asp?pg=12

    http://www.pathmark.com/circular/magnify.asp?pg=13

I've got to make a trip there this week

KRAFT American Cheese Singles 16 oz. pkg. 2 for $5.00
(we go through @ least 4 of these Pkg.'s of week)

Using the PATHMARK Advantage Club Card from Now thru November 24, 2005. Spend $300 & get your choice of a FREE Pathmark Turkey up to 20LBS or Ham Smoked Butt or Shank Portions 7-9 LBS. or 2 other items to choose from ...I don't know what they are I guess I'll see them in the store!

I missed the FREE Turkey/Ham Deal @ King Kullen you have to spend $75.00 or more in one shopping trip it was only for certain weeks. I got 2 turkeys from here last year...since spending $75 in one trip is not much of a problem. Just depends how much time I've got to shop. I'll make 3 or 4 trips there since it's in walking distance to my house but I always drive there & spend @ least $25 - $40 for simple stuff we need. Ma usually sends me out to buy her Archway Oatmeal Cookies, yogurt, bananas, tomato soup, etc. DH is picky w/dinners so if he wants something different than what I'm planning to have for dinner out to KK again!

I know Stop N Shop had a few of these $10 deals a few weeks ago but I don't shop there that much since it's a bit further away, but on my way to TARGET I'll usually stop there on my way back

Have fun stocking up your pantry on sale items

POLAND SPRING Gal. (boxed in a case of 6 for $6)

Yes those add up quickly I usually shop there w/cash until I found out they take CC now but I don't buy that much @ one time since they don't allow the carts outside. I just bring my own shopping basket. I bought @ Organized Living it's by Reisenthel Accessories

It's red w/an aluminum frame, has velcro loops attaching the bag to the frame, black handle & best of all folds flat when not in use. It say's CARRY BAG by Reisenthel Accessories. http://www.jumbobag.de/pop_eng.html I checked out a few of the other bags they sell too pretty kewl! OL was going out of business & they had up to 60% off. I've used it many times @ Mobil On The Run store. I had to take out the bottles of Dasani water I left in there yesterday & just put them in my cooler bag since I needed the basket to shop @ 7-11. It's a handy basket when it's folded up fits in my EXPY between my carseat & the middle console.

Our grocery store, Albertson's, does the same thing. I wish I had more space to store things when I find the deals. I love when they have Apple Juice on sale like that.

Sometimes I buy too many of the Apple Juices & leave a few in my SUV. I hate all the bags cluttered in my kitchen waiting to put stuff away! I'd leave maybe 1 or 2 in there so when we visit DH Mom & Ma wants AJ & she's only got diet soda "It's a good thing" the same w/her BOOST drinks if we're out & not home in time for dinner she can always have one of these & a McD's cheeseburger

I still haven't gotten to PATHMARK for any more deals since my last post. I picked up a few items @ TARGET, CVS, RITE-AID, WALGREENS, $1 Store.

Sometimes Ma is funny if I go out to my EXPY to get something she says "what else do you have in your store?" meaning I had a few boxes of tissues in the SUV & her cough drops, Poland Spring fridge box of water, Pringles (I need something to snack on while out driving here, there, everywhere)

I most definately have to go grocery shopping this week! Gotta check out the sales 1st.

I've seen this done at a store near us. Sometimes they have good deals, but you really have to pay attention to the regular prices on items. I've seen things that normally cost less (w/o the 10 for $10 promo), but people still buy the items because they *think* they're getting a deal.

Price Chopper is having this deal around here this week. I did find a few things that were a good price, but not many that I actually wanted in my house, KWIM?
