Yay For Discount Fabric!!!

Ahhh, sometimes working at a big fancy retail store has its perks!

I work next to the lady in charge of the Fabrics section, and she called me over the other day and said, "Look at this!" She had about 12 bolts of beautiful cotton broad cloth in all kinds of fantastic rich colors. Most of them were vibrant colors with gold detailing, but there were a couple of fall pallets as well. She said, "I didn't sell any of these fabrics -- none at all! -- and they're getting marked down?"

Original price: $8.96
New price: $1.97!!!

Guess who bought two meters of each bolt?!

And they are so beautiful. There was a green and a violet with matching leaf gold design; there was the same green and the same violet with matching gold Celtic design; there was a blue and a red with matching gold flower design; and there was a beautiful black, orange, green and gold fall pumpkin design. I bought two meters of each bolt and stored them happily in my fabric trunk under the futon.

Great Deal! Hobby Lobby marks their fabric down low like that too.

Good for you! Til you sew something, won't it be fun to just get the fabric out every once in a while and look at all of it? I do that with my favorite fabrics. Sometimes I even hate to cut them up they look so pretty folded and stacked together. Enjoy your find!
