Thumbs down UGH - this is ridiculous (Crisco oil)

I use Crisco Canola oil in my bread baking. I can't purchase olive oil in town and the cost is almost prohibitive for me to buy for bread baking.

I purchased the new "simple measures" Crisco Canola oil just recently and finally came to the last bit this morning while baking bread. Well, it has a new spout and you can't get all the oil out (probably 2-3 tablespoons). Being frugal I can't waste that much oil. (This was the 1.89L size container.)

I tried cutting the spout - no luck. I tipped the container everyway I could. Still no luck. I finally took my bread knife (not good, however the sharpest thing I could find) and cut the handle in half, thus finally getting the last drops of oil out.

Why make a spout like that? Gheez, I guess they want you to run out and get more oil, more quickly!!!

Anyone else have the same problems with containers.

yes, and I've almost cut a finger or my thumb off trying to get at that last bit in my oil containers too. Either it gets wasted or I waste a digit.

I sometimes have this problem with my liq. laundry soap. Alot of times I'll add water to try and get it out.

I can remember as a little girl, we would add water to the bottom of the ketchup bottle for more ketchup!
