    Talking well i did it

while the boy was at school today, i went grocery shopping. but not my normal grocery shopping, today i went with the intent to see how much i could save. first i went to cvs where my biore strips were bogo 1/2 off. but i also had 2 coupons so i got 2 boxes for 1.50 more then 1 box. saved 5.50 there.
then i went to homeland where i learned that they double your coupons everyday as long as you have your homeland card. i will be doing the majority of my shopping there from now on. i got there just in time to see the reduced meat selection and saved 71% off all 3 packages of my ground beef. got some beans, knocked off .30 for having my homeland card and got some cheetos where they doubled my coupons, 1.65 saved.
on to walmart where i had bogo free coupons for stayfree and 5.00 off of venus razors. yeah, i stocked up there. my coupons saved me 22.14 there.
so all together i saved 34.50. and i only spent the same amount of time at 3 stores, then i would have at 1 store with the boy. i guess that was one of the reasons i wouldn't shop like that before. with a 4 year old its pretty much hopeless, so i'll be doing it when he's at school from now on!

ok the hubby is proud of me so i just had to share. im use to spending 150 a week on groceries and stuff for the house. i have been trying really hard to cut that, and all my stocking up and using coupons have FINALLY paid off. i spent around 40 bucks this week. yesterday alone i got 46 dollars worth of stuff for 22. they were having some great bogo free sales and i had coupons for a bunch of it. even my son is getting into it, "do you have a coupon for that? (pointing at the red coupon dispensers) theres more coupons! you can use a coupon for that!" ahhh and hes just 4.

We just got some Homeland stores here in January. They bought out the Food 4 Less stores here. I really like Homeland! Double coupons, great produce, good weekly specials. I saved alot of money there today with my coupons.
