Does anyone have those
foam like shoes?
They sell them everywhere. MIL bought ds a pair by Airwalk, but wally and walgreens, etc have them also.
I was thinking it might be something nice, easy to slip on for quick trips to the mail box, etc...
DS loves wearing his everywhere...
do you have them?? what's your experience??~~ Missy ~~

I have 3 pairs of the Crocs brand, plus I bought my husband a pair also. The website is:
www.crocs.com
Crocs is the original, everyone else has been copying them (Target, etc.) In my opinion the copies are not as comfortable as the Crocs. I wear mine to work and I'm no longer limping at the end of a 12 hour shift on my feet. Definitely recommend them! They are great for everything - work, play, walking (more comfortable than sneakers), anything you can think of.

I've seen them but never looked at them up close. I don't know if I've ever seen the crocs, the generic ones that I've seen just looked rubbery so I didn't pay much attention to them. Do they breathe well? Are they comfy without socks? In the summer I hate wearing socks and hate sweaty feet.

Well they are sort of rubbery, but it's not like balloon-rubbery. I routinely wear them to go shopping or around the house without socks and they are fine, but to work I wear socks.

I also love that you can rinse them out in the shower and they look (and smell) as good as new.

I have 2 pairs of Croc's, I have yet to try the airwalks, though I have heard good things about them. I absolutely love my croc's...I wear them all the time...they are without a doubt the most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever worn. I wear them with socks and without!!

Missy, I have four pairs of crocs and I practically LIVE in them! they are very comfortable.
I wear them both with and without socks and if I wear them outside I rinse the soles so they are clean around the house
It would appear (looking at the link you posted) that the Crocs brand has been ripped off and who cares, because they recently put their prices up, by 25% just because they could and because demand was high!! greedy stinkers!!!
So go for those girl! they look exactly the same to me, I wish they had Copy cat ones over here..................

I never would have thought those were foam. I have thought about getting a pair. Not crocs though.. too much $$ for what I would use them for. Gardening, hanging around the pool- etc.
However, I do own a pair of Dansko's (professional shoes) and that has saved my feet from surgery! Being on your feet for 14 hour days without proper support causes the arches to drop... plantar fasciitis.
It seems the concensus here is to buy a pair.

I wonder if the arch support is like Birkenstocks....of which I have one pair and TOTALLY love the way the feel. I love my arches being filled. I wish I could afford more. Really want sandals, I have more of a winter birk.

I asked a nurse the last time I was in the hospital. She wears the airwalks. She said they are very comfortable. I have seen crocs at hallmark stores. The ones at walmart look like a really cheap imitation.

As for the ones from Wal Mart, they DO NOT compare!! I put a pair of them on and walked around the shoe aisle for about 30 minutes before heading to the mall and buying my second pair of croc's. They are in no way as comfortable as the croc's and have a totally different "feel" to them.

Thanks everyone! I appreciate all the input!
