Default I saved 99% at the grocery store!

I had a great time at the Homeland store with my coupons tonight. They double up to $1.00 coupons. I saved 53.55 with sales and coupons. My total with tax was $1.24. Tax was $1.06. Total savings was 99%. I think the cashier was stunned. I had four bags very full of groceries! I love coupons! I stocked up on some condiments that were on sale. These will last a while. The store also had a special on General Mills cereal, when you bought four boxes (on sale 2/$5), you received an instant $6 off your grocery total. I had coupons to cover the other $4. Here is my list:

    (2) boxes of Lucky Charms cereal
    (2) boxes of Golden Grahams cereal
    (2) 32 oz. Kraft Miracle Whip
    (2) 24 oz. Hunt's Ketchup
    (2) 14 oz. French's Mustard
    (2) small bottles Frank's Hot Sauce
    (1) 16 oz. A-1 Seafood Marinade
    (1) 16 oz. Ken's Mesquite Marinade
    (1) 18 oz. Cattleman's BBQ sauce
    (2) Ortega Taco seasoning
    (1) Hungry Jack Easy Mashed Potatoes
    (1) Betty Crocker Chocolate Chip muffin mix
    (1) Betty Crocker Triple Berry muffin mix
    (1) Betty Crocker Corn muffin mix
    (1) box of Mrs. Smith's Cherry Pie Slices
    (1) box of Edward's Turtle Cream Pie Slices
    (1) 1.75 qt. Blue Bunny Vanilla Premium Ice Cream

I saved $24.96 with my "One Card", and $28.59 with my coupons. Total out of pocket was $1.24. YAY!

I could have done better, but this store will only double one "like" coupon per order. I have lots of coupons for the Hungry Jack Potatoes, but I just pick up one on every trip to Homeland.

I have been attempting to "give lessons". I have written a course outline, and a curriculum for "Smart Shopping 101", but I been unable to find a venue for the class. I have contacted our local parks and recreation department (they offer classes in photography, conversational Spanish, etc.), and some area churches, but no one seems interested. I even tell them that a family can save THOUSANDS of dollars a year using these strategies, but still no takers, yet. I have not given up.

Wow! Very impressive! Do you have a community or technical college near you? They sometimes have non-credit courses and you might find the course you want to teach to be one they'd be willing to offer.

If you want someone to test out your curriculum, let me know I would be VERY interested.
