Default Run, Don't Walk to Staples!!!

If you have anyone who will be going back to school in the fall, or if you are just an office supply junkie, Staples has begun it's back to school sale this week. This week only:

2-pocket folders with or without fasteners 1 cent each! (limit 15 per customer)
Staples manual pencil sharpeners 1 cent each! (limit 3 per customer)
12-pack Staples yellow #2 pencils 1 cent per box! (limit 3 per customer)
Staples 2-pocket poly portfolio with or without fasteners 20 cents each! (limit 5 per customer)
1" or 1/2" flexible plastic 3 ring binder 25 cents each! (limit 4 per customer)
PaperMate Flair assorted pens 12 pack, FREE after mail-in rebate!

If you have any old ink cartridges from your printer, bring those with you! They pay you $3 in store credit for each one.

Julia starts kindergarten in the fall, so I bought for her, for my classes (I'm a teacher) and to build a school supply stockpile for all of my kids, cuz I'll have kids in school for the next 18 years! I plan on going back every day this week. Better to buy now than to spend ridiculous amounts in the fall! I bought 3 ink cartridges and got 15 2 pocket folders, 3 packs of pencils, 4 3 ring binders, and the Flair 12 pack and only paid $0.71! Then, I'll get the $7.98 back for the Flair pens in a rebate!

    Gotta love FREE!!!

Those are some great deals. I know my kids don't want to think about school supplies, but I may have to go get them some anyway. HEHE! Thanks for the heads up. I went and checked the circular from the paper just to be sure!

Walmart also has one subject notebooks for .10 and glue sticks and crayons for .20. I bought a case of notebooks last year for 2.40 and ran out around february. This time I am buying 2 cases. Can't beat that with four kids in school and my husband is also taking classes and always is looking for a notebook. My kids usually would tell me at 10:00 at night they need a notebook by tomorrow!

Just checked our circular and these deals are going on here, too! (AZ)
I popped the empty ink cartridges out of an old non-functioning printer we were about to throw away...I'll take them along when i go this afternoon and report back on what I got/found.

I had no idea Staples gave store credit for cartridges...makes me think of all those times I could have picked up busted printers for under a buck at yard sales and reaped 6 bucks for the ink empties inside...!

I will def. keep an eye out for empties from now on.
    Thank you.

Thanks Charlene! I was just going to ask if that applied to Canadian Staples and Walmart........
Hope they do something similar here too!

Thanks, Amy. I didn't know Staples gave credit for printer cartridges.

I saw this in the ads this morning and made DH go with me to rack up on deals!! With 3 children and myself going to school, we need to stock up on all the school supplies we can at these prices!

I already have a stockpile of school supplies on hand because every year when I see a sale like this, I stock up! I have the same philosophy as you, Amy. I figure that I will have children in school for at least 7 more years and they will always need folders, pencils, etc., so I might as well buy them at them when they are a penny for years to come!!

    Default Whooo!

    Just got back from Staples.
I turned in 2 empties and got 6$ in store credit (good on anything).

    I got -

    15 paper folders w/fasteners
    5 plastic (poly) folders w/fasteners
    4 (1-inch) 3-ring binders
1 12 count box black comfort stick pens
1 24 pack medium binder clips
3 plastic dual-sided pencil sharpeners w/resevoirs (to catch the shavings)
    3 12 count boxes of #2 pencils w/latex erasers

Total cost to me - .19 cents! Wow!

This is such a good deal for me, because DH is an aspiring screenwriter and uses all forms of folders w/fasteners and sometimes binders to bind and submit scripts, and when sending copies out that you won't be getting back (which is usually the case...you'd think if they reject you, they'd at least send back your binder! ) I'd much rather send a freebie folder than one I forked out money for!

Thanks again for the heads up on a fantasic deal. I'll be scouting around the office for empty inks tomorrow and hitting Staples again this week for sure.

Don't forget to buy plenty and put some back. . . when my kids were little, Santa always left new crayons, pencils, glue, etc in the stocking-- so when they headed back to school, they had new supplies.
