    Default My krogers trip yesterday

I was so excited we went to Krogers by my mom's yesterday before we came home and they were having double up to .99 they usually only have double up to .50 so I was excited.

I went in there and got
2 Boxes of Cereal 2/3 (had 2 .75 coupons so FREE)
    2 Cologate toothpaste 2/3 ($2.50 coupon so .50 for 2)
1 Betty crocker cookie mix 2/4 (got 1 and had .75 coupon so so paid .50)
1 package of Tyson chicken 2.99 lb (package was $3.26) had a .55 coupon)

So my total before club card and coupons was $21 somethng
after club card was $13 something
    after coupons was $4.93

I was so excited my dh was like wow!!

Last week we went to the grocery and target and it was great savings
    Spent $120.17
    Saved $101.44
    Shelf price $221.61

I was so excited about this. I have been doing the grocery game since june and I have been doing so good at the grocery I am excited we have a nice variety in the house to eat. This is just the 2 of us and we have 3 cats and a dog. So we are talking pet, hba and food items and cleaning. So we are doing great!! I did get 45free items so far this month.

I won't need dog/cat food for sometime, toothpaste, and shampoo or hair care and popcorn I have like 7 boxes!!

But I wanted to share with everyone how happy I am that we are saving money. We used to be bad and ate out all the time but now we hardly go out at all. It is great to have food in the house and I am hoping to learn so much more from this site. So far it seems like there is so much information and on so many different subjects I think it is great!!

But wanted to share my great shopping experience.

That is fantastic! Do you get your coupons out of the local papers or online?

I usually get the sunday paper the big one in the area is the cleveland plain dealer and then get either the sandusky or mansfield paper. You get a lot of different coupons in each paper. And I also if I am at my mom's on Saturday get there paper becauce there saturday paper has coupons.

I also get coupons from my granny to she saves them for me and sometime my mom has some I get.

I would love to join the coupon thing here but I don't have 25 post yet so am waiting!
