More shopping from today
I really did too much shopping today, but is all stuff that is going to be used, and it was all discounted or on sale!
~Flea Market: Got some free entertainment from various people and dogs. Also got an old Reader's Digest Thrifty Meals cookbook for $2.
~Michael's Craft Store: I hit the jackpot on Christmas gift finds here. They always have a section full of $1 items, but a lot of them were marked $.50 today! I got several gifts including: journals, pretty notepads, photo calender, notecards, candles, and gift tags. Also I got a large circular hole punch to use for making marble magnets for Christmas gifts. I had a 40% off one item coupon, so it was around $2 (down from almost $4).
~Linen's N Things: It was time for a new pillow, and I got a nice one. I had a 20% off coupon, so it ended up being $21.49.
~JoAnns fabrics: I originally had a 40% off one regular priced item, but I didn't get to use it because I bought everything on sale. I got three no-sew fleece scarf kits marked down to $1.99 from $6.99. Pack of supplies for plastic canvas Christmas ornaments marked down to $4 from $8. They were having a sale on marked down items, so I got an additional 30% off of it. Final cost of plastic canvas ornament supplies was $2.80. Got a solid color fleece 2yrds of it @ 4.99/yd marked down from 6.99/yd. Found some fleece that was 50% off, and I'm going to make some no-sew throws/blankets for family for Christmas. I got 3 different prints, each one being no more than $2.50/yd. I was pleased with my purchases here.
~Hobby Lobby: Found a wooden very small knitting loom. I've been wanting one for a while to use with my Knifty Knitters to make more items. It was originally $4.99, but they were having a 1/2 off sale!
~Finally all three of the color ink cartridges from our printer ran out of ink yesterday. I looked in last week's Office Depot flyer, and found a $3 off coupon on ink if you brought in your old cartridges for recycling. We found a pack with all three colors of ink. We got the $3 off, but they would only take 1 of the old ink cartridges. I'm not sure why, but the cashier said she could only take one a day
?
Anyway, as you can see I shopped til Dh and I dropped.

Way to go Heather!
Naderbug love the new kitty!
Hit the jackpot at Save-A-Lot this am. They mark their meat down on Sunday morning and every package I bought had a $2.00 off sticker only the ham ended up being over 5.00. We'll eat good for the next three weeks. Repackaged everything already in marinades and smaller portions. Will make the ham up on Tuesday as the storm draws near in case we lose power. The generator will run the freezers and refrigerator but not the stove. So if ham is all cooked its easy to prepare and eat. Plus its portable if we have to bug out. Think I'll whip up a double batch of oatmeal cookies too.
