    Default Steve and Barry's

Has anyone ever bought their children's coats from this store? I am wondering about the quality and if they provide warmth. TIA

My hubby bought a coat there ... he wore it the entire winter and he loved it. I haven't bought the kids coats there so I can't help on that one.

    Yes.. and a bad experience.
Last year, I bought a pretty down filled girls coat for dd. It was warm enough, but after the first and every washing, the tiny feathers started poking out and would itch her. I never dryed it in the dryer. It really started to make her uncomfortable, so we ditched it. I couldn't think of any way to fix it (we did have her wear a light fleece jacket under, but that was a pain to always do)
It was a bargain at under 10 bucks, and very cute- but very cheaply made and ended up getting tossed.

I have not bought from them yet but I plan on purchasing some of their Starbury line items for my kids for Christmas. They are really reasonably priced and cool looking clothing and shoes.

I bought a heavy jean jacket there last year and it's a great casual coat. I haven't had any trouble with their products.

Thanks everyone for your input. I only had to buy for my boys (my mom bought for my girls). I allowed them to pick what ever they wanted as long as it had a hood. Ds#2 got his big so that it would hang past his hands and he wouldn't have to wear gloves.......goofy kid. In a pitch it served the purpose and I'll see how they hold up for furture reference. But $8 for a coat I can not beat right now. Oh I also bought myself a lightweight quilted jacket and I love it. I'm going to go back and get another in a different color too.
