I love my Bosch. I know a lot of people like the Kitchenaid but I think the Bosch does more. It will handle whole wheat dough where I think it would be a strain on a Kitchenaid.

I have a non-recommendation. I have owned 2 Black & Decker blenders, both which went caput on me. It was the Crushmaster 12-cup blender, the first one, the container cracked when I was crushing some ice, the second one, the motor burnt out when I was blending some soup.
Here is a link to the offensive blender:

I have a back to basics small blender - it has an upside down mug for a carafe. i like it, because I am the only one that uses it, and I use it mainly for yogurt smoothies

It is what it is.

I loved my Oster 12 speed with food processor attachment. It was a great work-horse until last week when the motor burnt up while I was attempting to mix some Smucker's All Natural peanut butter in it. I had it 4 years and used it at least twice weekly. (I'm buying a new one next Thursday on payday)

We have an Oster blender for the last 7yrs. I love it, and it's still going strong.
It came with a few extra attachments: mini food processor (love it for doing things like nuts), shake cup/mixer, and the glass pitcher.

Bought a Osterizor from Walmart a few months ago & love it. We use it mostly to crush ice & stawberry daquiri's and it does that well. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...uct_id=3946735
