    Default My grocery savings!

I went grocery shopping today. Mostly just for a few bargain items. It was the best I ever did and I wanted to share with everyone.

    I spent $34.89

    Here's what I got.
    9 jars of Ragu sauce
2 boxes of Honey Bunches of oats
    2 boxes of Raisin Bran
    4 bags of tostitos chips
6 packages of Hebrew National hot dogs
2 boxes of Quaker chewy granola bars
2 boxes of Betty Crocker fruit roll ups
2 big jugs of Wisk laundry detergent
1 12 pack of Nabisco Ritz bitz peanut butter packages
1 12 pack of Teddy Graham packages
4 packages of Pork Chops (12 big pork chops)
1 Wish bone Thousand Island Dressing
1 Wish Bone caesar delight salad spritzer dressing

    And my total savings:
    $114.48

    Pretty darn good!

~That's a fantastic savings! Most of those items are the loss leaders at stores here this week. I'll be going out tonight to get some big deals. I usually save 50%. Your save ratio is astounding! Did you use coupons?~

Way to GO! I aim for a 80% saving ratio but never go less than 50%. I have more food and money then I have ever had since shoping like this.

That is great! The one time that I saved like 87% with coupons, I was ready to frame my receipt.

My grocery store sometimes puts "super coupons" in the circular, and I combined them with manufacturers coupons. And some of the items were just an awesome deal. That's why I don't mind paying $5 for 6 newspapers, because those multiples of coupons really help us out!

They were 10 for $10 and I had 4 $1 off 2 jars coupons, and my store doubles, so they were free.
