    Default Post your grocery savings!

I made a thread of my own savings, but I thought I'd make one for everyone to post in.

    Here's mine for today.

I made a last minute trip today to use up my coupons before the sales changed tomorrow and this is what I got:

    Total Spent: $9.54

    What I got:
2 boxes of quaker chewy granola bars
1 jar of rice select couscous
3 cans of chef boyardee ravioli
    6 bottles of ken's marinade
10 packages of farmer john hot dogs
4 bags of tostitos tortilla chips
    6 bottles of lawry's marinades
    2 bottles of wishbone dressing

    My total savings was $107.42...91%

I got a lot of marinades because we eat chicken a lot, and I figured the best way to make it different is to use different marinades so we don't get bored of it.

Anybody else get some good deals?

itsahumanzoo ~ I'm in Orange County too! Please tell me what store you're shopping in, because I can't figure out what store is allowing that many coupons per order of the same item! lol Vons and Ralphs both only allow ONE coupon of each item per order. They are the only double coupon stores here. Am I missing something?

Way to much actual items to post. Some of the notables 6 months worth of coffee, cat treats, dog treats and cleaners. A big thing of hamburgers, and 12 big pork steaks along with other staple items.

    Before savings $185.53
    Savings $86.88
    Total Paid $98.65

Most notables where the $8.99 bag of coffee i got free for buying the 2 i would have bought anyways. The 10 dollar off coupon for getting new savings cards. 10 (total) bogo items bought with coupons. and combining store and manufacturer coupons on the same items.

I do seperate orders for each coupon. That's how I get them to double them all. I try to go to the store early in the morning or late at night so I don't hold up the line, and then I just put my items into seperate orders. What part of Orange County do you live in?

I wish NorCal would double coupons as well...

Where are you guys getting GOOD coupons? I'd probably use coupons if I knew how to use the system to my advantage...

In our paper, we seem to only get coupons for items that I normally don't buy or new items that even with the coupon would be too expensive to buy.

from coupon swaps, coworkers, neighbors, the sunday paper... hang tags in the store, magazines, mail inserts, in freebies, gosh all over the place!

Yesterday I took a tip I learned here and got 3 tubes of toothpaste for the tax (that would be 18 cents) at the dollar general That's a 94% savings!
