    Default Walgreen's Deals

I got some deals at Walgreen's by combining their store sales/coupons and my coupons....

1 box Airborn tabs reg. $7.99 on sale for 2/$10 minus my $1.00 coupon so $4.00 (I work in an office with about 100 people. If $4.00 will help me prevent a cold in the upcoming season, it's worth it!)

Airwick Mini Air Freshner Reg. 10.99 on sale for $7.99 minus my $4.00 coupon is $3.99 minus rebate $3.00 so $.99!!!!

Degree Deot. reg $3.29 on sale for $1.99 minus my $1.00 coupon so $.99

Mr Clean Wipes on sale for $2.99 minus store coupon of $1.00 minus my coupon of $2.00 so free plus they owed me $.01!!!

Total: $10.37 (not counting the $3.00 rebate I have to send in, so will be $7.37).

    Total savings $16.59...I LOVE Walgreen's!

I went to Walgreens today too!!

    I got:
1 Betty Crocker Warm Delights Minis (they only had one...) on sale 2/$3 plus my $1.10/1 coupon printed from boogle.com ~ paid $0.40
1 Degree deodorant (same deal as above) $0.99
3 Robitussin cough syrups on sale 3/$12 minus my three $3/1 coupons $1 each plus I'll get $5 back in rebates
3 legal pads on sale 3/$1
2 coffee mate creamers on sale 2/2.19 minus my 2 $1/1 coupons paid $0.20

My total before coupons was $30.53
I paid $5.81 Which when you take into account that I will get $5 in rebates back, I really will end up paying $0.81!!!!

Heather if you'll request your rebate to be put on a Walgreens card they'll pay you 10% more so you'll be getting it all for $0.51. Once you get addicted to the deals you won't mind having your money put on the card b/c you'll be using it anyway.

Oops that would be $0.31 instead of .51.

    ok - I have a Walgreen's question

I know I must sound like a nerd, but I've never shopped @ Walgreen's - BUT they are building one very close to home (should be open soon) -

    so........ my question is:

Can you use a Walgreen's coupon IN ADDITION to a reg. manufactor's coupon for the same item??

Are they (walgreen's) good about sending you the rebate checks? ((I've been burned by CVS many times))

Any other Walgreen's tips you'd like to share??

I'm new to the whole "Walgreens deals" thing, but this was what I got yesterday.

2 tubes of Aquafresh Advanced toothpaste, reg $3.49 each, store coupon brought them down to $1.99 each, then I had 2 manufacturer's coupons for $1 off, ended up being $.99 each! I can't get "cheap" toothpaste for that price!
Ultra Joy dish soap, reg $1.29, with store coupon was $.89
3 cans Van Camp's pork and beans, reg $.69 each, store coupon was 3/$1
4 cans Campbell's tomato soup, reg $.99 each, store coupon was $.59 each
Without coupons my total was $14.81, after coupons I paid a whopping $6.74!!! That was my first try at using the Walgreens coupons and the manufacturer coupons, but I'm hooked!

yes! you can use both manuf. coupons and wag coupons on a single item. the first time you send off for the rebate, expect anywhere from 3 to 6 week wait for your check/gc. - if after your first time you opt to just have the rebated amount reloaded onto your gc, the wait time drops significantly.

something else to watch out for with wag is their easy saver book. its a small booklet with wag coupons good all month and its got all the info in it when it comes to wag rebates. i often find deals in their circular plus a coupon in their easy saver catalog and if youve got hawk's eyes... a manuf. coupon from the paper.. its a beautiful thing.
