some good target deals out there

Hey just wanted to share if anyone is looking to stock up. I went to target today and they have 1/2 off their Halloween stuff. Mine had good deals on BooBerry cereal (.99 a box + coupon), Pillsbury cake mixes .49, Puffs tissues 2 pack for 1.49, and of course candy at 1/2 off. I was shocked at how much candy there was left. It was as if the shelves were untouched. Guess it is a sign of the sentiments about the economy.

By the way, Halloween M&Ms were 1.39 and there is a 1.00 coupon on the target website (good through 11/24), so I got mine for .39 a bag. With them being fall colors, I will make monster cookies for the kids lunches. I will wait till late november and snag a bunch of Chrismas ones too....I take the green out for St. patty's day and the red for Valentines and make up little treat bags for my kids.

I also picked up several bags of clearance candy that was unmarked as far as halloween images and have boxed it up, taped it shut and put it in the freezer for Easter under the greenbeans, no one will ever look there, lol.

Thanks for the heads up on the M&Ms and the terrific idea on the holiday ones. If I can retain that information for two more months I may steal it! (With proper credit given of course!)

Here's a link to the target coupons. Being lazy as I am, I just go to target.com and put coupons on the search bar. Then click "grocery coupons". (I'm sure there's an easier way but I'm just too lazy to figure it out! :-)

We went to a couple stores today to see what Halloween items were on sale. The stores we went to had plenty of candy left but that is because all the signs said 50% off all Halloween EXCLUDING candy. This is the first Halloween we didn't buy any candy at all since they never reduced any good candy to a price we would pay.

Pumpkin Cookie Jar~4.99

4 pack of leaf tealights~0.62

YAY! I made sure I got more fall colors as opposed to Halloween-ish decor. Now it will last as decorations from the start of fall until after Thanksgiving when I put up my Christmas tree.

darn!! only peanut M&Ms..and Ds is allergic

Put I did pick up my polly pockets with the 5.00 off coupon, and some playdough for 25 for 2.49 and some double bubble..all good things I can put in stockings and DD has her birthday party next week... I can use the gum and playdough in her goodie bags.

I also found some snack size teddy grahams.. great for lunches.
