    Default Good deals at Safeway

    This week they have Bumble Bee solid albacore tuna for .88 and Campbell's Select soup for $1. Now mind you I live in Cali so those are great prices. I got 10 cans of tuna and 5 cans of soup. The soups are good to have around for DH right now because he's still off of work and lately he's been eating ramen for lunch every day and at least the soup is a little healthier. I may pick up some more soup on Friday.
    “When you get to the end of all the light you know
    and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown,
    faith is knowing that one of two things will happen:
    you will be given something solid to stand on,
    or you will be taught how to fly.” - Edward Teller

    “Our Earth is degenerate in these later days;
    there are signs that the world is speedily
    coming to an end;
    bribery and corruption are common; children no
    longer obey their parents;
    every man wants to write a book and the
    end of the world is evidently approaching.”
    — From a translation of an inscription on
    an Assyrian clay tablet, circa 2800 B.C.E.

    God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
    courage to change the things I can,
    and the wisdom to know the difference

    I went to Safeway also and swooped up the great deals. Between Safeway, King Soopers, and Walgreens (they are all next to each other), I bought $205 worth of groceries and toiletries for $94.53! Whoo-hoo!

    Safeway:

    Pork loin, have to ask the butcher it wasn't out in the cases, (in the recent flyer) $1.99pd. the only thing is you have to buy the whole loin which can be from 6-10 pds......I just asked my butcher to cut mine into 3 pieces.

    So I got a $32. worth for $12

    Great deal I thought and the quality looks to be there too.
