    Default thrift shops

so one day this week when i get a chance to use transport, i'm going to go to the local thrift shops and buy a bunch of the "fabric" pieces they have there.

i remember the last time i went there, they had these "stray" sheets/drapes/scraps of fabric for 50 cents or less!!!

    think of all the ideas!
i'm kind of excited to go & get "fabric" so cheaply that i can convert into so many different ideas!

anyway, just a thought i wanted to share for others who are strapped for cash but have a creative bug just itching away.

it's sometimes hard to find quality needles/hooks/accessories... but i find that if you're good at fixing things up... be it wood, plastic, fabric, glass, whatever... the thrift store is the place to go!

I agree. I haven't bought clothes anywhere but at thrift stores for years.
I also get baskets for my Christmas baskets.
I have bought many brand new items at thrift store.
Just about anything can be fixed and recycled.
I have even bought items they haven't been able to sell (marked down to almost nothing), to cut up for the fabric.
I say Let omeone else pay the big prices - I'll get it for next to nothing!!!!

My mother, sister and I love thrift stores in fact when we travel (road trips)we often stop at the local thrift stores just to see what they have. I love it!!! My last thrift store expedition was the best one so far. I went on President's Day. I was debating on going but I was so glad that I went. I found a calf length 100% wool, navy, lined Pendleton coat!!!! It was in perfect condition with no tears or moth holes. It was priced $24.00 however since it was President's Day the thrift store had all clothes marked at 50% off. SO I GOT IT FOR $12.00!!!! I THANKED GOD ALL THE WAY TO THE CAR!!!!!!!!
