I finally convinced DH to the advantages of having a slicer so I bought one with my christmas gift monies. So we get a large boneless ham, a 2 pound block of cheese and we go to town. The slices get stored in food saver bags to meet the needs of the week and the rest gets tossed in the freezer or the storage fridge.

Isn't it amazing what you can do and SAVE with the right tools and the right ideas.

You may be slow but I heard once that slow and steady wins the race.... Good job on using the slicer, now you've got no more excuses, right?
