on 4/15 im in stop & shop i spy a small bone less ham marked down by 2 dollars,,, hmmmmmmmmm,, if i dig out my slicer i can get deli ham for 1.49 lb instead of 6 or 7.. hmmmmmmmmmmm sounds good,, real good
fast forward to today... i break out the slicer and
bamm got me sliced deli ham.. some is going in the freezer for later...will take ham for friday lunch buying chinese for me and my coworker(for being so nice to work with)
on a no ther note saw what a nother coworker purchased from panara bread(think expensive) a croussaunt(sp) split in half and filled with egg and cheese.. i thought i can make that for a lot lot less sooooooooooooo guess what im making this week end with my ham...mine will be made with whole wheat and will be bread dough not white flour
man what some people will waste money on

I finally convinced DH to the advantages of having a slicer so I bought one with my christmas gift monies. So we get a large boneless ham, a 2 pound block of cheese and we go to town. The slices get stored in food saver bags to meet the needs of the week and the rest gets tossed in the freezer or the storage fridge.
Isn't it amazing what you can do and SAVE with the right tools and the right ideas.
