Default 8lbs of spaghetti for 61 cents!!!

After reading on here last night about prices increasing dramatically on pasta, rice, etc. I checked out some local store ads online and didn't find any good prices on these things. So then I went to Sam's club site and was looking at pasta. They has 8lbs of spaghetti for 61 cents!!! there was a limit of 1 though. i'm not sure why it was so cheap but you can bet i quickly added that to my basket and printed it off just in case. i also ordered 8lbs of elbow mac for less than $5, 30pack of waters for less than $4, 2pack of 48oz chocolate syrip for $6. I'll pick it up on Friday when I'm down there shopping at a one-day sale at a nearby grocer. If you have a sam's club membership take a second to see if they have any at your local store .

    I totally hear you.

My kids are getting used to different foods now, to help ensure they are getting proper nutrition but at a reasonable price. I'm shocked they like canned veggies!! I HATED them as a kid. I pick up flats whenever they are cheap. Dh is still resistant to ANY veggie, but he always has been. But the kids are very happy to eat it.

Wow that is a great deal. I checked on the website for my area but didn't find any. Good job though!

I was forced to eat canned veggies as a child. That is all we ever had, my mom never bought fresh or frozen. Just the thought of eating them now induces my "gag reflex". LOL. I never buy them. I do buy canned tomatoes and beans (like pork and beans, kidney beans, not green beans). I am glad your kids like them, they are cheaper than fresh/frozen.

Me too, until my parents divorced. My mom blamed my dad, said that was all he wanted to eat. I don't know about that. Now I've gotten to the point where I can eat them now and then, except canned peas *gag* I figured out that my mom used to salt the canned veggies then boil them to death. No wonder.

I got the macaroni! Too late on the spaghetti, I suppose. Great deal, though! I needed to make a Sam's run anyway. THANKS again!
