Default Making the "Bunny" this year

I was in AC Moore the other day to get candy molds and chocolate to make the 'thank you for coming to the Communion' parting gifts... while I was there, I couldn't help myself

I bought a mold that has 2 .5lb rabbits, about the same size as the Russel Stover ones... must... resist... the melted chocolate!!!!

Anyone else planning on making the goodies for the baskets this year?
I can't be out of money... I still have checks left!

Well, V, I won't be making those lushious rabbits! But I am making cookies tomorrow. Correction: one cookie. But it will be huge.

I also thought about trying to make little coconut chocolates that would be like mounds bars, but make them egg shape. Any ideas on how to do this?

I don't have a recipe but I remember my Mom and I making them years ago, well decades ago. It does help if you chill the coconut mixture first, then shape them. I can't remember if we put them back in the chill chest before dipping them or not.

V: I found the topic of your thread to be very different from the "Making the Bunny" title led me to expect. LOL
