nope. We will all wear the same "come as you are" (but things is nice condition) clothes that we wear each Sunday to church. This year we are going to our local community sunrise service at 6:30, going to the local community pancake breakfast, and then driving 20 miles "down the hill" to our home chuch for Easter services. New clothes or not..... He is Risen! (He is Risen, indeed!!)

Nope, nothing new for easter. We stay home and watch movies and eat candy. Usually we stay in our jammies on Sundays.

When I was little, all of us (5) got new Easter clothes. Dress, jacket, hat, gloves, purse & usually some kind of shoe. When I think about it now, I wonder where my parents got the money. When my 3 girls were little, I made their dresses. Bought new socks to wear with sandals, hair bows, a new purse. I gave their dresses away... sure wish I would have kept them-my gr'dau's could have worn them. Attention-young mothers-watch what you throw out & gr'kids come sooner than you think!

Nope, the kids hate dressing up, and I don't insist upon it any more. What's that expression..."pick your battles"? LOL

You know, I was talking about this at my FIL's house the other day...I don't know anyone who eats Peeps unless they're stale. I don't eat them either way, but seriously, everyone I know eats them stale. :eyebrow:

I did when they were younger. Now only DD3 goes to church regularly with me. She and I just wear something a little extra nice. I didn't buy an outfit for DGS who lives with us because he is growing so fast I don't want to spend money on a one time outfit.

I always get a chuckle out of the families who all have matching handmade easter or Christmas outfits. I don't know how they find the time!

My daughters would get a new (used but new to them) spring dress for Easter every year. Then about the teen years they started just wearing whichever pretty dress they already had in the closet as long as it still fit. Sometimes a pretty blouse and skirt but we didn't do the "Easter Dress" any longer. I just wear one of the two pairs of pants that are not jeans and a blouse.

They could make millions upon millions if they would just sell them stale. I like them VERY stale! lol I tried the freezer method, but I didn't care for them cold.

My mom watched me eat a stale peep with the most worried face! lol She is the only one I know that likes them fresh. *yuck*

We don't go to church, but we do go to the family easter party and usually everyone stays outside. My daughter will wear jeans and a cute shirt... my cousin always puts her daughter in a frilly dress and as soon as everyone sees her in it, she changes into play clothes. I don't bother. and me... well, I just wear whatever I have that doesn't have stains on it!

Not any more I don't. I just wear what I have.
But when I was a little girl, my mom would always make me and my sisters new dresses using "Dotted Swiss".
