What we do is fill a large basket, lined with a clean white cloth, with chunks of the foods we'll be preparing for Easter dinner. This would include meat, veggies, butter, salt, pepper, bread, etc. The basket is covered with either a clean white cloth or a decorated white cloth appropriate for Easter. Then we take it to Easter service at church and line them up where the priest says to. After the service, the basket covering is pulled back. A new holy candle is purchased and stuffed into the bread and lit just before the priest blesses all of the baskets.
I love this tradition!Projects in Progress: quilt, bathroom rugs, knitting dishcloths
Future Projects: finish baby doll (clothes & hair) for DGD, rag rug, table napkins
New Challenge for Myself: crochet items for the homeless
